Databricks Architect - Remote Freelance Opportunity

Do you have a knack for big data and analytics? We are looking for a skilled Databricks Architect to join our team! As a Databricks Architect, you will be responsible for designing and implementing advanced data solutions using the Databricks platform. This is a remote position with occasional travel for client engagements and team meetings.

Responsibilities:

• Design and architect data solutions using Databricks for various use cases

• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, and stakeholders to understand requirements

• Implement data pipelines, ETL processes, and data integration solutions

• Ensure data quality, consistency, and security across the Databricks environment

• Monitor and optimize Databricks clusters for performance and cost efficiency

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to team members

• Stay current with the latest Databricks features, updates, and industry trends

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Databricks Architect or similar role

• In-depth knowledge of Databricks, Apache Spark, and data engineering best practices

• Strong understanding of big data technologies and distributed computing

• Experience with data pipeline and ETL tools (eg, Apache NiFi, Airflow)

• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or SQL

• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

• Strong communication and leadership abilities

• Databricks certifications (eg, Databricks Certified Professional) are a plus
