Job Title: Data Network Engineer
Location: Camberley/Hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote)
Contract: Potential for a 12-month engagement, Inside IR35
Day Rate: up to £425 per day
Customer: Financial Services
As a Data Network Engineer, your role and responsibilities will involve:
- Eliciting, analysing and documenting technical application and service requirements
- Working with multiple technical teams to identify end to end solutions that balance business, security, availability and resiliency requirements.
- Creating and documenting designs utilizing design patterns and standard approaches to best meet requirements.
- Configuration of devices to deploying new services into production
- Participating in the prioritization and scheduling of implementation activities.
- Managing stakeholder requirements
- Active participation in the Change Management process
- Assisting with the troubleshooting of existing and new implementations to resolve issues identified in testing and improve services.
- Identifying/managing the mitigation of risks within the operational environment.
- Ensuring documentation is updated to reflect new additions to or modifications in the environment and handed into Operations successfully.
As a Data Network Engineer, your skills and qualifications will include:
- A very strong understanding and background of Networking LAN infrastructure and how it is used.
- A strong understanding of routing protocols and deployments - BGP, OSPF, EIGRP.
- Hands on experience with Cisco Nexus Products
- Strong experience of Large Data Centre LAN deployments
- Strong Experience of Access Networks
- SDA Experience
- Cisco DNAC exposure
- Experience of Bluecat/DHCP
- Experience of Cisco ISE
- Exposure to VXLAN
- Exposure to Aruba Wireless deployments
- Experience of WAN technologies
- Strong communication and technical analytical skills
- A good strong team player but capable of self-working
- Exposure to large financial change management procedures and change management platforms.
- Strong client focus
Nice to have:
- ITIL accreditation
- Cisco Certifications
- Arista Certifications
